Birds love to stretch their wings and need enough space to easily move around their cage. They need to access food and water as well as interact with any other birds in the cage or any Cockatiel Toys.

We recommend choosing a toy that will not take up too much space or restrict the movement of your bird in their cage. Bigger toys have extra parts for your Cockatiel to play with and can be more interesting so if you have the space go for it!

Consider investing in multiple smaller Cockatiel Toys and rotate them to keep your bird interested however, several toys in your Cockatiel’s cage, if you have the room will also provide them with a variety of stimuli to interact with.

Keep in mind birds love to chew and pull things apart! Cockatiel Toys made from wood or safe materials that they can shred encourages natural behaviour and keeps their beak from becoming oddly shaped or too sharp.

Always make sure to keep an eye on your Cockatiel with their toys in order to remove anything that might have become sharp or could pose a hazard to your pet. Toys are not made to last through your bird’s lifetime and will eventually need to be replaced with something new.
