Price Variations Explained

Fledgling – From $799
A fledgling raised by its parents that has left the nest and is flying in an aviary. These birds can be taught to talk but are difficult to train unless you are highly experienced.

Handled Baby – From $1,199
A baby raised by its parents that receives daily handling in short sessions before fledging. With continued human interaction, these birds can become friendly, though constant handling is required to maintain tameness.

Hand-Reared Baby – From $1,999
The best option for a companion pet, offering many kisses and cuddles and the strongest human bond. 

Hand-rearing an Eclectus Parrot takes 6–8 weeks of dedicated work. From early life, chicks require specialised formula feeds up to five times per day, including early mornings and late nights. Each feed must be prepared and delivered correctly.

Beyond feeding, daily handling and interaction are essential so birds grow up trusting people. This consistent care helps them see humans as companions rather than threats.

As they grow, chicks are carefully weaned onto solid foods, encouraged to perch, and guided toward independence. By the time a bird is ready for a new home, it has already received extensive care, socialisation, and guidance.
